A Perfect Field

There's something about this field I really like. Maybe it's the lovely curve and gentle slope which this picture doesn't convey. Perfect for sledging. Apologies for this strictly temporary burst of lyricism. Normal service will be resumed after I have got my hands on a decent bottle of gin.

Lovely. Something about gentle slopes that soothes the raddled brain. Talking of which, try Hendricks Gin, even if it's just for the bottle, which if nothing else will darken your thoughts into that eighteenth century churchyard thing you go on about.

An invitation to exercise, I thought mmediately of Kate Bush. I suppose many would enjoy the idea of "Running up that hill", but, speaking personally, I'm a girl who prefers going down.

Oh Camilla. Sound of a distant church bell and a breeze rustling through a laurel hedge.

Bloody hell Camilla and I thought a reelly dull post about a field would be as safe as houses. Well done!

Nice field Ron, but, once again, who's the bloke in your picture?

Ron, great shot. There's one thing missing 'though. Where, oh where, is a nice heap of rusting machinery in the foreground? A field's not a field without a heap in it.

OK Explorer, it's a librarian I know.

Ron - that is quite obviously the local drive-in cinema, may I suggest you return at night.

Thinking about it, this pic. needs a scarecrow in the foreground. So, Ron, kit yourself out in greasy knackered clothes (actually just stay as you are darling) and stand there with your arms outstretched and your tongue hanging out. Just like you did in the that pub opposite the Daily Mail offices in Kensington.
