Tucking in

Paella last night at a friend's, a bottle of something decent from Spain would have gone well with it, but of course here it is impossible to buy any wine other than Italian. Not that I am complaining. Far from it. The Barbera d'Asti from Campazzo, Baccarossa, was excellent. The paella was delicious. Complimenti PierAnna!
Some of the Leicester Gang are pitching up tonight. The hatches are being battened.

You want to watch those Leicester people. Not like Devonians you know.

tasty looking paella - I thought the med was all one jolly melting pot these days, or do you have to make your paella "under cover". What you want'ssome braaan sauce on that you do.

Taste aside, I love the look of paella....that fabulous saffron yellow (which I bet is a darn sight cheaper and tastier over there than what we get off Tescbury's shelves!)

Sounds delicous, except for the mussels!!!

I absolutely ache for paella, but it is totally non-kosher. In fact, nothing could be less kosher. I have heard of a version using chicken livers and brisket, but even the thought of it gives me hives. And at passover, even rice is not kosher. No wonder I drink. It's the only thing left.

What has Leicester got to do with it? Or anything?

Find me something that hasn't got Leicester to do with it. ( I might be making some stuff up but I don't mind the challenge)
