Italy. An interesting, infuriating place to live as a gin-raddled expat. Some notes and observations.

Brrrr!
Popped up to the idyllic local hilltop village for a 'paper and a coffee this morning, although 'to pop' may not be the best verb in the circumstances; another 24 hour's worth of snow made it a lonely trip. Just me and the odd snowplough. All rendered easy of course by my 19 year old Sisley Special Edition Designer 4x4 Panda. You know it's a Special Edition because it's got a bloke in a canoe painted on the side. That's it in the picture above by the way. I love my Panda.
Hilltop village wasn't so idyllic 'though, what with all that freezing fog.
Only another 23 days to go. Please God, make it go quickly.

When viewed by winter, snow, fog fanatics such as vinogirl and I it looks fantastic....it just can;t snow enough for us.I'm already excited about driving up into the sierras in about 3 weeks from now.
Was your coffee hot though, Ron?
You did well to keep all that snow on the roof Ron. Have you fitted those wire-mesh fences to stop it all sliding off and burying someone? Or is that part of the appeal?
Love that top picture. Like a film set for something. Dr.Zhivacombo perhaps.
'Ron Zhivago: My Doctor's Hell.'
Just love your new portrait Ron.
I LOVE throwing snowballs at people smaller than me
Hello Ron - season's greetings and all. Very keen on your Panda (great Italian parking) i take it the Devon camper conversion with pop-up roof was executed on one of your trips to blighty - can't see a local abusing an Italian vehicle in that way. How much for the daughter ?
